Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Van Wert, OH seeks a Home Educator to partner with Head Start families in their homes, promoting positive parent-child interactions and development-centered parenting to ensure thriving children.

The role includes weekly home visits, documenting progress, and helping families access resources for developmental, social-emotional, medical, and dental screenings, while supporting IFSP/IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Home visiting experience preferred.
• Minimum of a home-based CDA credential or comparable credential or equivalent coursework as part of an associate’s or bachelor’s degree.
• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education, Human Services, or related field preferred.
• Competent in planning and implementing home-based learning experiences.
• Willing to undertake additional required training for effective family support within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Head Start families in their home to promote positive parent–child interactions and family well‑being.
• Collaborate with families to assess needs, define goals, and identify resources.
• Visit families weekly, document activities and progress, and ensure access to developmental screenings.
• Assist and encourage parents as primary educators for their child using the established curriculum.
• Provide education and social service support for pregnant women and expectant families.
