Job summary

Rock Walworth Comprehensive FA seeks an Early Head Start Home Visitor to partner with families of pregnant women, infants, and toddlers. You will conduct in-home visits and group activities to promote development across cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical domains.

The role involves collaborating with families, planning individualized learning experiences, and conducting ongoing assessments to inform services aligned with Head Start standards.

Qualifications

• Must have 21 years of age.
• Home-Based CDA credential (or comparable credential), an associate or bachelor’s degree in human services or social work, early childhood education, or equivalent coursework/education.
• Experience partnering with families to provide services and build culturally responsive, trusting relationships.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to travel to other service regions as needed, including on short notice.
• Proficiency with standard office equipment (computers, keyboards, copiers, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Implement a research-based home visiting curriculum addressing cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development.
• Partner with parents to plan individualized learning experiences supporting school readiness.
• Conduct ongoing child assessments using program-approved tools.
• Provide parent education on child development and mental health.
• Promote culturally and linguistically responsive services respecting family values, beliefs, and home language.
• Facilitate family participation and leadership opportunities within the program.
