Job summary

MobilityWorks in Morrisville, NC is seeking a Home Access Installation Technician to install and service adaptive equipment at customer sites. You will perform mechanical and electrical installations, follow service orders, and ensure quality workmanship in both indoor and outdoor settings.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, experience with stairlifts, lifts, ramps, and ceiling lifts, and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability for company vehicles.
• Experience installing stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps and ceiling lifts.
• Strong electrical and wiring skills, including low-voltage work.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Background in garage doors, HVAC, or construction is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance of adaptive equipment (stair lifts, patient lifts, scooters, ceiling lifts, etc.).
• Maintain and repair equipment and adaptations already installed.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure installation quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment issues and adaptations.
• Follow written service orders accurately to complete tasks.
• Uphold a high level of quality in accordance with company standards.

• Performing mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance of adaptive equipment, including Stair Lifts, Patient Lifts, Scooter transports, Ceiling Lifts, Power Wheelchairs/Scooters, and other Mobility & Accessibility Equipment.
• Maintaining and repairing previously installed equipment and adaptations.
• Conducting thorough testing to ensure the quality of installations and repairs.
• Identifying and troubleshooting issues with equipment and adaptations.
• Following written service orders accurately to complete tasks.
• Upholding a high level of quality in adherence to company standards.

• Proficiency in computer skills, including the use of Salesforce and manufacturer applications.

• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, depending on the job requirements.
