Job summary

MobilityWorks is seeking a Home Access Installation Technician in Akron, OH. This regular full-time role involves mechanical and electrical installations of adaptive equipment, including stair lifts, ceiling lifts, and power wheelchairs, with ongoing maintenance and testing to ensure quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Driver's License.
• Experience installing and servicing stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and ceiling lifts.
• Proficiency with wiring and low-voltage electrical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• General construction experience is required.
• Proficient with computer applications including Salesforce.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance of adaptive equipment such as stair lifts, patient lifts, scooters, ceiling lifts, power wheelchairs, and related devices.
• Maintain and repair equipment previously installed and adaptations.
• Conduct thorough testing to ensure installation and repair quality.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues with equipment and adaptations.
• Follow written service orders to complete tasks and uphold quality standards.

Salary Range: $23.00 To $26.00 Hourly

Responsibilities:

• Performing mechanical and electrical installations and maintenance of adaptive equipment, including Stair Lifts, Patient Lifts, Scooter transports, Ceiling Lifts, Power Wheelchairs/Scooters, and other Mobility & Accessibility Equipment.
• Maintaining and repairing previously installed equipment and adaptations.
• Conducting thorough testing to ensure the quality of installations and repairs.
• Identifying and troubleshooting issues with equipment and adaptations.
• Following written service orders accurately to complete tasks.
• Upholding a high level of quality in adherence to company standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid Drivers License
• Experience in installing and servicing stairlifts, vertical platform lifts, ramps, and ceiling lifts.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and insurability for the use of company vehicles.
• Strong electrical and wiring skills, including low-voltage electrical experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.
• Background in garage doors, HVAC, or construction is a plus.
• General construction experience is required.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including the use of Salesforce and manufacturer applications.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors, depending on the job requirements.
