Job summary

Planned Parenthood of Greater Texas, Inc. seeks a Reproductive Health Assistant to support direct patient care and education in our health center.

You will greet patients, collect histories, provide information on birth control and STIs, assist with exams, and help with check-in/out and chart maintenance. The role requires a high school diploma and at least one year in healthcare or customer service, with preference for Medical Assistant, CNA, EMT credentials and EPM/EHR experience.

Qualifications

• H/S Diploma or equivalent and 1 year of experience in customer service, healthcare or social services environment.
• An advanced degree may substitute for up to 1 year of experience.
• Preferred: Medical Assistant or CNA or Phlebotomy or EMT certificate.
• Electronic Practice Management (EPM) / Electronic Health Records (EHR) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and in a welcoming manner and provide high quality care.
• Perform patient check-in/check-out and update patient charts.
• Explain medical services and educate patients on birth control, STIs, and pregnancy options.
• Assist clinicians with lab testing, vital signs, and minor procedures as needed.
• Maintain supply inventories, confidentiality, and accurate documentation.
