Job summary

Children's Home Society of North Carolina is seeking a Hope for the Holidays Specialist to support the annual fundraising and wish-list initiative, coordinating planning, donor engagement, and program operations to ensure gifts are collected, organized, and distributed to children and families served by CHS.

You will work with donors, volunteers, case workers, and staff, using Roonga and SignUpGenius to manage lists, track sponsorships, and supervise volunteer activities, while upholding CHS's

Qualifications

• Strong organizational, project coordination, and time management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, databases, and volunteer management platforms; experience with Roonga, SignUpGenius, or similar systems is a plus.
• Valid North Carolina driver's license, adequate automobile insurance, and access to a reliable vehicle for CHS business.
• Ability to perform physical duties associated with seasonal event operations, including lifting, carrying, and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Program Coordination: Manage and maintain holiday wish lists; collaborate with CHS staff on submissions, approvals, and sponsorships; assist with daily program operations.
• Donation and Inventory Management: Sort and distribute donated gifts; maintain accurate inventory and reporting in databases; coordinate with philanthropy team for in-kind and financial contributions.
• Volunteer Engagement: Schedule, track, and communicate with volunteers; assist with coordinating and training volunteers.
• Organizational Responsibilities: Attend meetings and training; uphold CHS values; comply with policies; perform other duties as assigned.
