Job summary

Columbus McKinnon is seeking a skilled assembler in Wadesboro, NC to perform complete assembly, installation and testing of hoists and subassemblies per blueprints and specifications. The role covers electric, manual and paint classifications within the assembly department.

You will align components, install moving parts, test gearboxes, read production documents and rotate through areas as needed. A high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of related experience are required along with ability

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret simple instructions, process sheets and diagrams.
• Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds and performing repetitive assembly tasks.
• Must be able to work in a team environment and rotate through classifications.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hoists and subassemblies per blueprints and specifications.
• Align components and fasten with bolts, screws or rivets.
• Test operation of assembled products and load test as required.
• Operate overhead crane to move parts between work areas.
• Use micrometers, scales and gauges to verify alignment and clearances.
• Move hoist assemblies through various stages and complete labor reporting.
