Job summary

Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center is seeking a Hockey Program Manager to develop and manage all hockey-related activities, including leagues, events, Learn-to-Play, and camps. You will supervise instructors and scorekeepers while delivering a first-class experience for participants, coaches, and spectators.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree in recreation or sports management, 5+ years in hockey, and USA Hockey certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation or sports management or related field preferred.
• Experience in customer service and programming administration preferred.
• 5+ years in the hockey industry required.
• USA Hockey Certified Coach required.
• Proven track record of developing, marketing, and selling recreational programs.
• Experience in programming setup & execution operations.
• Knowledge of recreational/facility management software programs.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Team player with strong communications skills.
• Flexible work schedule (nights/weekends/holidays) preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the full scope of hockey programming (leagues, events, Learn-to-Play, camps/clinics).
• Supervise hockey instructors and scorekeepers; ensure a first-class programming experience.
• Hire and train coaches; recruit players and teams.
• Manage program budgets and registration processes; optimize purchasing/registration flow.
