DSE Hockey Centers, LP is seeking an operations associate to support daily hockey operations at our StarCenter facility in Richardson, TX. The role blends on-ice responsibilities with administrative duties and requires close collaboration with the General Manager and Hockey Programs Manager.

You will manage the Hockey section of the website, coordinate game results and schedules, maintain client lists, ensure program compliance, and assist with registrations, league creation, and communications

Qualifications

  • College degree preferred.
  • Functional knowledge of business practices and terminology.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with a willingness to learn.
  • Effective problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Flexibility and availability to interact with employees and customers at all levels.
  • Preferred technical skills include Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and a general knowledge of technical jargon.

Responsibilities

  • Manage Hockey section of the StarCenter’s webpage to ensure information is updated accordingly.
  • Schedule and verify past game results and upcoming game schedules in Hockey Shift and confirm with Scorekeepers and Referees.
  • Create and maintain a customer contact list for communication purposes.
  • Maintain and review the StarCenter Hockey Pro List.
  • Ensure that our Hockey Programs follow all rules and guidelines.
  • Assist in processing registrations and collecting payments by applicable due dates for all Hockey Programs.
  • Assist in building Leagues for all seasons, the creation and distribution of game schedules.
  • Assist with communication to new and existing customers regarding program notifications and participant evaluations.

Description

This position will be responsible for assisting in the management and execution of daily hockey operations for the facility. It will be a hybrid of on-ice responsibilities and administrative responsibilities as they relate to the Hockey Programs. This person is required to work closely with the General Manager and Hockey Programs Manager establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with these individuals. This position is not eligible for remote work.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Manage Hockey section of the StarCenter’s webpage to ensure information is updated accordingly
  • Schedule and verify past game results and upcoming game schedules in Hockey Shift and confirm with Scorekeepers and Referees

Physical Demands and Working Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands and fingers, handle objects and office tools, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee is exposed to an office environment, with noise levels usually moderate.
