Job summary

Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center in Janesville, WI is seeking a Hockey Program Manager to lead the development and management of hockey programming across leagues, events, camps, and clinics. The role includes supervising coaches and scorekeepers, and collaborating with event owners to deliver top-notch experiences.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in recreation/sports management, strong customer service and program administration skills, and USA Hockey coaching certification.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in recreation or sports management preferred.
• Experience in customer service and programming administration preferred.
• Must have 5+ years in hockey industry; USA Hockey Certified Coach.
• Proven track record in developing, marketing and selling recreational programs.
• Experience with programming setup and execution operations.
• Knowledge of recreational/facility management software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage all hockey programming including leagues, events, camps, clinics and Learn-to-Play.
• Recruit and train hockey coaches; actively recruit players and teams.
• Manage program budgets and registrations; optimize purchasing and registration experience.
• Schedule leagues and post-season play; ensure fair, competitive play.
• Coordinate with Skate Program Manager for ice time and scheduling.
• Collaborate with marketing to support campaigns; act as MOD when needed.
