Job summary

Suburban Ice Farmington Hills is seeking an energetic Assistant Manager / Assistant Hockey Operations Manager to lead daily arena operations, develop staff, and enhance experiences for athletes and families.

You’ll help manage hockey programs, provide on-ice instruction, recruit and train coaches, and collaborate on scheduling, budgeting, and program development. Evening and weekend availability is required to keep our facility running smoothly and our participants energized.

Qualifications

• Strong hockey background with playing, coaching, or instructional experience.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Organized, dependable, and comfortable solving problems.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends.
• Team-first attitude and willingness to do whatever it takes.

Responsibilities

• Help lead day-to-day arena operations and staff.
• Support hockey club and arena programming, administration and operations.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff and coaches.
• Provide on-ice instruction.
• Assist with scheduling, planning, budgeting, and program development.
• Deliver outstanding customer service to players, parents, coaches, and guests.
• Jump in wherever needed to keep the facility and programs running smoothly.
