Job summary

Forestar Group Inc. is seeking an HOA Manager-FG to organize and manage Homeowner’s Associations from inception through turnover for a designated division. You will coordinate third-party management firms and oversee handoffs for common areas, easements and amenity centers.

The role involves collaborating with Acquisition, Development, and Region Counsel teams, managing budgets, and overseeing HOA transitions and board meetings to ensure compliance and project success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university.
• 3–5 years of related experience and/or training.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly and present publicly to groups.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Acquisition Team and Region HOA Manager during due diligence to obtain project guidelines, amenities, challenges or other issues that would impact HOA documents.
• Obtain due diligence documents such as site plans and layouts to help structure HOA documents and incorporate project modifications.
• Visit the project site to visualize how HOA documents contribute to long-term project success.
• Determine the best HOA structure per product, project characteristics, and community amenities.
• Assist outside counsel to draft HOA documents addressing statutory law, boundaries, transfer of control, easements, and association powers.
