Job summary

Second Avenue Realty in Tampa, FL seeks a Community Compliance Specialist to review HOA governing documents and assist residents with leasing and use restrictions. The role acts as a bridge between HOA requirements and residents, under the Community Compliance Manager.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years in property management, strong communication, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel/Outlook, plus knowledge of CC&Rs and HOA processes. Evening/weekend hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years’ experience in a fast‑paced property management environment.
• Familiar with HOA governing documents such as CC&R’s, Bylaws, Rules & Regulations, etc.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use a computer proficiently, including Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Work well with others with a positive friendly attitude.
• Reliably accessible via phone and/or email, except during approved time off.
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook, and the ability to learn other programs/software.
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends and non‑traditional holidays, as needed.
• Extreme attention to detail and ability to communicate complex findings clearly.
• Ability to determine trends and communicate same to senior management.

Responsibilities

• Answer inbound inquiries regarding the review and approval of HOA governing documents.
• Review HOA documents for leasing or use restrictions that could hinder leasing.
• Manage and resolve HOA violations in a timely manner.
• Assist in processing HOA applications imposed upon residents.
• Provide high level of service for residents with a sense of urgency.
• Research required information using multiple systems and resources.
• Analyze inquiries to streamline resolutions and responses.
• Provide assistance to residents with HOA use restrictions.
• Maintain HOA database within Second Avenue systems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
