Job summary

County of Sonoma seeks a Homeless Management Information System Coordinator to oversee HMIS operations within the Behavioral Health team. You will analyze program needs, configure HMIS workflows, and generate complex reports to support performance measures and PIT counts.

The role requires on-site work for 6–12 months with potential hybrid telework thereafter. Strong data analysis, governance, and vendor management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience developing and maintaining IT systems in a multi-platform environment, including at least one year of application development/modification.
• Equivalent to twelve semester or eighteen quarter units in information systems, computer science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze program needs and translate them into HMIS workflows, configurations, and reports.
• Serve as liaison for the Continuum of Care governance board and HUD HMIS responsibilities.
• Provide high-level guidance on HMIS data and present findings to staff and stakeholders.
• Lead major data initiatives including Longitudinal System Analysis and annual Point-in-Time count data collection.
• Implement and maintain HMIS policies, ensuring privacy and security standards.
• Manage vendor relationships, system configuration, updates, issues, support, and contracts.
