Job summary

Giving Home Health Care is seeking an HME Specialist to support patient intake, product selection, and education for home medical equipment. You will educate patients on equipment use, coordinate orders, and ensure compliant, patient-centered service.

You will work with Brightree and the clinical/Home Health teams to determine the best products and delivery timelines, maintaining detailed records and delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in DME/heathcare environment preferred.
• CDME certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and payer guidelines is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient intake and assess medical documentation.
• Educate patients on selecting HME/DME items per physician orders.
• Navigate Brightree for order building and documentation.
• Collaborate with clinical and home health teams for product selection.
• Process orders and ensure timely delivery and hand-offs.
• Maintain accurate records of patient interactions and education.
• Ensure regulatory and company policy compliance.
• Dispatch to delivery technicians and manage dropship requests.
