Job summary

Intermountain Health in Provo, UT is seeking a Home Medical Equipment Coordinator to manage intake, coordination, and timely fulfillment of HME orders. You will liaison with referral sources, patients, and staff, verify insurance, and ensure accurate documentation and physician‑ordered equipment setups.

You will educate patients, assist with equipment fittings, and support Medicare/Medicaid billing compliance while maintaining strong cross‑functional relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in customer service and patient care, with professionalism, empathy, and responsiveness.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals.
• Proficient in basic computer applications, scheduling tools, and data entry into an EMR.

Responsibilities

• Triage and route inquiries via phone, email, chat, and in person.
• Capture referral information and support EMR data entry and insurance verification.
• Coordinate delivery and setup of Home Medical Equipment (HME) in clinical and home settings.
• Educate patients and caregivers on equipment use, safety, and care.
• Process POS transactions and coordinate delivery or pickup.
• Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless service delivery and compliance.
• Audit casework and reports to identify trends and support improvements.
