Job summary

Florida Division of Emergency Management in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an OPS HLMP Grant Manager to oversee grants for HLMP, SDP, and related programs. Responsibilities include contract development, program compliance, budget monitoring, and reporting to multiple stakeholders.

The role requires readiness for emergency deployments and travel as needed. Minimum qualifications include FCCM certification or ability to obtain within 12 months and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of state/federal grant programs and contract administration.
• Public speaking and strong written communication skills.
• Ability to understand and apply federal/state rules and procedures.
• Ability to manage grant/contracts including scope, budget, and reimbursements.
• Ability to prepare quarterly progress reports.
• Ability to provide technical assistance on grants and reimbursement processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management of grants and projects for HLMP and SDP.
• Assist recipients including government bodies, universities, and nonprofits on HLMP projects.
• Assist applicants with HLMP grant funding submissions.
• Conduct research and trainings on program aspects.
• Participate in public outreach and educational events.
• Assist with program priorities and management tools development.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure Unit for shelter development grant compliance.
• Perform related duties and travel as assigned, including disaster duties.
