Job summary

The Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) seeks an OPS Grants Specialist V to provide technical financial assistance on state and federal grant funding. The role focuses on ensuring contract terms are met, monitoring subrecipient performance, and generating expenditure reports from the Grants Unit in Tallahassee.

Qualifications

• FCCM certification or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
• Minimum of two (2) years grants and/or contract management experience.
• Experience using Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Excel and Word).
• Ability to travel to conduct monitoring activities, attend conferences and trainings.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical financial assistance to nonprofit organizations and for-profit consultants relating to grant funding and enforce terms and conditions by acting as liaison with recipients or subrecipients.
• Ensure services have been rendered according to agreement terms before invoicing; monitor performance and provide written certification of receipt of goods and services.
• Develop and maintain written regional reports and spreadsheets for grant allocation tracking and reporting requirements.
• Assist in development/modification of contractual agreements and in revising grantee program and financial review criteria.
• Assist with and conduct monitoring activities, including scheduling, document verification and pre-monitoring.
• Perform duties during State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) activation in support of emergency response and recovery.
