Job summary

Vitalant in Phoenix, AZ is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Specialist in our HLA Laboratory to perform high-complexity testing and provide skilled technical support. You will join a collaborative team ensuring timely, quality results while maintaining donor and patient confidentiality.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, CLIA high-complexity eligibility, and at least one year of HLA lab experience; CHt certification preferred.

Qualifications

• California testing requirements must be met within one year.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine testing of biological specimens and provide skilled technical support.
• Prepare and prequalify reagents and perform routine testing.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control on laboratory equipment.
• Identify equipment malfunctions and perform basic troubleshooting.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation and protect confidentiality.
• Monitor laboratory supplies and reagent levels; maintain clean work areas.
• Assist with competency assessments, evaluations of reagents and new methods, and process improvements.
