Job summary

Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Clinical Immunogenetics Laboratory Technical Specialist to join the histocompatibility team. You will support high‑complexity testing, oversight of QA/QI, and collaboration with lab leadership.

This role requires a CLS and ACHI credentials, 8+ years in histocompatibility, expertise in HLA, chimerism, and crossmatching, with color vision testing. The position offers comprehensive benefits and relocation support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological, clinical or medical laboratory science or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years histocompatibility lab experience with supervision requirements.
• Clinical Histocompatibility Technologist, ACHI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Track, order, maintain, and coordinate vendors, reagents and equipment.
• Lead complex projects and QA/QI activities for assay quality monitoring.
• Review procedures to comply with ASHI and CLIA standards.
• Provide education and training to residents and fellows.
• Participate in educational activities and inter-departmental meetings.
