Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Field Solutions Engineer, Hivemind to support technical sales, customer engagements, demonstrations, and capture activities for Shield AI’s autonomy solution. You will translate mission needs into credible Hivemind concepts and work with cross-functional teams to deliver customer-focused demonstrations and briefs.

The role emphasizes technical credibility, strong communication, and the ability to connect Hivemind capabilities to real missions across diverse environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in solutions engineering, field applications engineering, systems engineering, technical sales, autonomy, robotics, defense software, aerospace, or related technical roles.
• Strong technical understanding of autonomy, AI-enabled systems, mission software, unmanned systems, robotics, or defense tech.
• Experience supporting customer-facing technical engagements such as demos, briefings, proposals, integration discussions, and workshops.
• Ability to translate customer mission needs into technically feasible solution concepts, requirements, demos, and feedback.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse leadership audiences.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a customer-facing technical expert for Hivemind autonomy solutions in markets.
• Support customer discovery, technical briefings, demonstrations, RFIs, RFPs, and capture activities.
• Translate customer needs into credible Hivemind solution concepts and requirements.
• Partner with BD and Capture teams on RFIs, proposals, white papers, demos, and narratives.
• Explain autonomy capabilities, roadmap considerations, and integration requirements to diverse audiences.
• Develop and maintain technical sales assets such as briefs, scripts, templates, and white papers.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Program teams to represent customer requirements and risks.
• Help customers evaluate autonomy for mission planning, force modernization, and outcomes.
