Job summary

Nashville CARES is seeking a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CRPS) for HIV screening and prevention in Nashville, TN. The role involves testing, education, outreach, and peer recovery support in healthcare and community settings.

You will work across hospital EDs, treatment facilities, and community partners, documenting activities and maintaining program compliance while upholding confidentiality and safety standards. This is a full-time hourly position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare environments such as hospital EDs, clinics, or treatment facilities.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Basic data entry and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform HIV testing and screening in diverse settings including EDs and community events.
• Educate on HIV prevention, risk reduction, and treatment resources.
• Connect clients to appropriate care and supportive services.
• Lead or participate in community outreach and awareness initiatives.
• Document testing activities and client interactions accurately.
• Maintain program compliance and safety protocols.
