Job summary

Nashville CARES seeks a Midlevel Provider for the CARES 360 Memphis low-barrier clinic at Friends For All. This on-site, full-time role focuses on HIV treatment, prevention, and sexual health in a walk-in setting, coordinating with case management, prevention, and other services.

Responsibilities include initiating ART and PrEP, re-engaging patients, providing STI care, and ensuring timely follow-up. Commitment to trauma-informed, culturally responsive care is essential.

Qualifications

• Current Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant licensure in Tennessee, or ability to obtain prior to hire.
• DEA registration and prescriptive authority required prior to hire.
• Ability to work independently within scope of practice and provide compassionate, patient-centered care.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience with HIV treatment, PrEP/PEP, and STI care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide HIV treatment, prevention, PrEP/PEP, and STI services in a walk-in clinic setting.
• Initiate ART for newly diagnosed individuals and re-engage patients into care.
• Coordinate referrals and transitions to ongoing care within CARES 360 Memphis team.
• Educate patients on treatment options, adherence, and available resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR and participate in quality improvement.
