Job summary

Nashville CARES is hiring a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CRPS) to conduct HIV screening and prevention in Nashville, TN. You will provide testing, education, and peer recovery support across clinical and community settings.

You will work with hospitals, clinics, and outreach programs to promote testing, connect clients to care, and support recovery goals while maintaining confidentiality and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare environments such as EDs, clinics or treatment facilities.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive client information.
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Valid Tennessee driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• HIV screening and testing in hospital EDs and community settings.
• Educate on HIV prevention, risk reduction, and treatment resources.
• Connect clients with care and supportive services.
• Participate in community outreach and awareness initiatives.
• Provide peer recovery support within the DART Harm Reduction Program.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to meet annual HIV testing goals.
• Document activities accurately and maintain program compliance.
