Job summary

The University of Chicago’s Chicago Center for HIV Elimination seeks an Employment Services Coordinator to manage retention in care and provide employment coaching within research and testing programs. The role supports clients referred through grant-funded projects and co-facilitates trainings for staff and community members.

Responsibilities include job readiness training, workshops, building partnerships with local businesses, and resource counseling, with occasional evenings and travel

Qualifications

• Education: vocational training or equivalent experience.
• Work experience: 2–5 years in a related job discipline.
• Bachelor's or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide employment coaching and job readiness training.
• Facilitate employment workshops.
• Build relationships with businesses and organizations providing opportunities.
• Conduct resource counseling and complete related documentation.
• Work with community members in person or by phone; assist with daily supportive tasks.
• Coordinate collection of clinical study data and samples as needed.
• Perform other related work as required.
