Job summary

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited bachelor's degree program in chemical, physical, biological science, medical technology, or clinical laboratory science, and successful completion of a NAACLS accredited Histotechnician or Histotechnologist program.
• OR Baccalaureate degree and 1 year of histopathology clinical or 1 year histopathology research experience in the U.S. or Canada.
• OR Baccalaureate degree with HT(ASCP) certification and 6 months histopathology clinical or 6 months histopathology research in the U.S. or Canada.
• OR Completion of a 50-week U.S. military histotechnician training course.

Responsibilities

• Transform tissue specimens into crystal-clear slides for physicians to examine.
• Master frozen sections and tissue staining.
• Mix and prepare dyes and chemical solutions for histology.
• Handle bone marrow specimens with precision for patient outcomes.
