Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Histotechnologist to join our Phoenix team. This PRN/casual role involves processing tissue and body fluids, preparing slides, and performing staining procedures to support accurate patient diagnostics.

The candidate should have a histology-focused bachelor’s degree and relevant hands-on experience, with ASCP certification preferred. We value meticulous labor, adherence to SOPs, high-volume performance, and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced lab environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Histology or related science with 1+ year histology experience.
• Current or prior Labcorp experience is preferred.
• Histology certification (ASCP) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process tissue and body fluids for microscopic examination.
• Prepare histology slides and sections for analysis.
• Section tissue with a microtome and mount on slides.
• Perform routine and special staining procedures.
• Ensure proper embedding and orientation of surgical tissue.
• Prepare stains and reagents for procedures.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Operate and maintain histology instruments and log equipment data.
• Document preventive maintenance and quality controls.
