Job summary

Labcorp in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Histotechnologist to process tissue samples and prepare slides for microscopic examination. The role involves manual and automated tasks, immunohistochemical testing, and maintaining equipment and quality control to deliver accurate results.

The position offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus for external hires, a Tuesday–Saturday shift from 2:00pm to 10:30pm, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO/FTO, and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Biological science or equivalent meeting regulatory requirements.
• Histology experience and/or ASCP certification preferred.
• Experience in histology is desirable but not required.
• Familiarity with routine histology procedures and equipment.
• Immunohistochemistry experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens in preparation for microscopic exam.
• Perform duties related to production of histopathological slides.
• Section tissue with a microtome and mount sections on slides.
• Perform immunohistochemical tests on tissue sections.
• Process slides through staining procedures.
• Orient and embed surgical tissue specimens.
• Prepare stains and reagents for procedures.
• Report accurate test results to support patient care.
• Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments.
• Document equipment maintenance and log data.
