Job summary

CellNetix Pathology & Laboratories in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Histotechnologist to prepare and process tissue samples for pathologists. The role requires intermediate histology skills, potential lead duties, and adherence to HIPAA and SOPs. The position operates on a 4:00am–12:30pm schedule with rotating on-call weekends.

Must hold HT/HTL (ASCP) certification with 1 year histology experience. Eligible for high-complexity testing and capable of working in a dynamic lab environment with safety

Qualifications

• HT/HTL (ASCP) certified required.
• 1 year of Histology experience required.
• Able to adhere to HIPAA, SOPs and PPE requirements.
• Able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintains processors, microtomes, stainers and coverslipping machines.
• Performs frozen section procedures as needed.
• Performs IHC testing including prep, QC and documentation.
• Prepares reagents and labels slides for pathologists.
• Distributes cases to pathologists and supports other duties as assigned.
