Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a skilled laboratory specialist to perform medium and high complexity pathology procedures, including histology, immunohistochemistry, and specimen processing. The role entails leading training for students and new staff, and assisting with daily lab operations.

Requires an associate or vocational degree in medical laboratory science, HT certification, and 3+ years of lab experience. The position is based in Minneapolis with day shifts and occasional weekends.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Vocational degree in medical laboratory science from an accredited institution, plus 3 years lab experience or similar.
• AMT certification eligible plus 3 years laboratory experience.
• Histotechnician HT certification required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and complex specimen procedures in anatomical and surgical pathology, and immunohistochemistry.
• Oversees training of students and new employees and assists with daily lab operations.
• Maintains safety, quality control, and accurate record keeping.
