Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Brigham and Women's Faulkner Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Histotechnician to prepare tissue specimens by processing, embedding, and cutting slides for microscopic analysis.

A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required. HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) certification is preferred. 0–1 year histology experience, onsite work at 1153 Centre Street, 40 hours weekly, Day shift.

Qualifications

• Must possess fundamental knowledge of histotechnique including fixation, decalcification, processing, embedding, and routine staining.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Histotechnician (HT ASCP) or Histotechnologist (HTL ASCP) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Processes, embeds, and sections tissue for slides.
• Maintains safety and PPE protocols in the lab.
• Performs quality control and maintenance on equipment.
• Ensures accurate case identification and tracking throughout processing.
