Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary seeks a histology technician to prepare tissue specimens, embed, and mount slides for microscopic analysis. You will perform routine staining and ensure proper labeling and tracking to support patient safety.

The position is onsite at 243-245 Charles Street, Boston, with a 40-hour work week and a Day shift. The role offers competitive hourly pay between $23.34 and $40.04, plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.
• Clinical or histology experience 0–1 year is required.
• ASCP HT/HTL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Processes, embeds, and sections tissue for slides.
• Embeds control tissue and maintains control library.
• Performs preventative maintenance and quality control on equipment.
• Uses PPE to maintain safety and follows policies.
• Tracks cases to ensure patient safety and accuracy.
