Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Histotechnologist to join our team at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. This 1st shift per diem position involves processing tissue, preparing slides, and performing immunohistochemical tests to support accurate patient diagnoses.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Histology or related science with histology experience; ASCP certification is preferred. Candidates should have strong attention to detail and be able to work in a high-volume laboratory

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Histology or a related scientific field and 1+ years of histology experience.
• ASCP certifications are preferred for this role.
• Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits meeting CLIA standards may qualify in lieu of listed education.

Responsibilities

• Process human tissue and body fluid specimens for microscopic examination.
• Prepare histopathology slides and perform immunohistochemical tests.
• Section embedded tissue with a microtome and mount on slides.
• Operate and maintain manual and automated instruments; document maintenance and QC.
