Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Histology Team Leader for Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA. The position supports the Histology department's daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely results in a high-volume setting.

The role requires leadership experience, an associate degree in a chemical/biological science or related field, and 3+ years as a histotechnologist. A sign-on bonus is offered for external candidates, with a 6am–2:30pm schedule.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in chemical or biological science, histology, clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
• 3+ years of experience as a Histotechnician/Histotechnologist.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor with day-to-day operations of the Histology department.
• Send daily, weekly and monthly productions reports to management.
• Assist with training of new hires and development of current employees.
• Keep supervisor informed of group progress, problems, and performance.
• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation for proper function.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate test results to deliver quality patient care.
• Maintain safety and wear appropriate PPE.
