Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Histotechnologist PRN for Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls. You will work within the Laboratory team to prepare tissue samples, create slides, and assist pathologists with microscopic analysis.

The role emphasizes accurate specimen handling, adherence to testing protocols, and collaboration with colleagues to ensure high-quality patient care. Professional certification and histology experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Certified histotechnician with accredited training.
• ASCP histology certification held or pursued.
• 2 years of histology experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication; proficient computer keyboarding.

Responsibilities

• File, locate, log, retrieve, and deliver pathology specimens/reports.
• Perform embedding, sectioning, mounting, and staining of tissue for analysis.
• Provide pathologist with well-stained slides for microscopic diagnosis.
• Perform specialized testing as assigned.
• Assist in instructing other personnel as assigned.
• Maintain the highest quality of patient care at all times.
