Qualifications

• One year of LSA experience in a high complexity Histology laboratory.
• Associate degree or certificate in histology with chemistry and biology coursework.
• Proficiency with computer systems, web-based apps and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Processes and embeds tissue in paraffin and cuts blocks with microtomes.
• Prepares stains and evaluates stained slides for quality.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and a clean work environment.
• Participates in inter-shift coverage for time off and holidays.
• Maintains patient identification and follows SOPs during work.
