Job summary

ProPath Services, LLC in Dallas, TX is seeking a full-time Histology Technician to support patient care by embedding and preparing slides for routine H&E and special stains. You will also coordinate team work, train staff, and maintain equipment and safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of histology training or experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently within a team.

Qualifications

• 2 years of training or experience in histology.
• Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and in a team environment.
• Ability to operate general laboratory equipment including microscopes, analyzers, pipettes, centrifuges.

Responsibilities

• Embed and prepare slides for routine H&E and special stain procedures.
• Perform and document preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot processing, embedding, cutting, and staining as needed.
• Coordinate work for the team during the shift.
• Maintain scheduling for the day team.
• Train new employees and staff on new techniques.
• Handle minor equipment troubleshooting and notify management or vendors.
• Maintain training records and ensure cross-shift communication.
• Work in a lab with biological and chemical hazards; uphold safety and quality controls.
