Job summary

Emory Healthcare is seeking a certified Histotechnologist II to support clinical care, education, and research. The role involves performing routine and complex histologic procedures, staining, and slide preparation, while maintaining quality control and safety standards.

Shift is part-time, 16 hours per week (5am–1:30pm, Sat-Sun). ASCP certification is required, with certs valid within 18 months of employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma and ASCP HT(ASCP) or HTL(ASCP) with up to 2 years' experience, or HTL/HTL with no experience.
• Certification must be obtained within 18 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine or complex histologic procedures to support diagnosis.
• Prepare specimens and sections using a microtome.
• Affix tissue to slides, stain, cover slips and label slides.
• Maintain control blocks and slides for special studies.
• Operate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment and perform QC activities.
