Atrium Health is seeking a Full-time Histology Technician for Carolinas Medical Center - Lab: Histology. The role involves preparing frozen sections, performing routine and special stains, and assisting with autopsies as needed.

You will handle tissue specimens, ensure accurate test orders, and maintain organized specimen storage. Ideal candidates are enrolled in an HT/HTL (ASCP) program or hold certification, with relevant lab experience.

Qualifikationen

• Currently enrolled in HT/HTL (ASCP) program; must obtain certification within one year of completing program or hire date.
• Or certified HT/HTL (ASCP) with 1 year of experience; or uncertified HT with 3+ years of experience.

Aufgaben

• Performs frozen section preparations within expected time and ensures proper embedding, cutting, and staining.
• Performs routine, special stains, and immunohistochemical stains.
• Assists with autopsies as assigned and supports gross examination of specimens.
• Prepares and organizes tissue specimens; ensures correct test routing and specimen storage.
