Qualifications

• 2 years of recent/current Histotech experience [Required]
• Knowledge of tissue processing, embedding, microtomy and staining procedures
• Follows safety policies and handles hazardous materials according to regulations
• Reads, writes and speaks conversational English

Responsibilities

• Registers, orders, and accessions pathology specimens into computer systems
• Performs specimen processing, embedding, microtomy, staining and cover slipping
• Prepares specimens for research requests and transports specimens to collection sites
• Assists pathologists with frozen section preparations
• Maintains quality control and adheres to safety guidelines
