Qualifications

• Must provide proof of education per CLIA guidelines.
• Histotechnician (HT) ASCP certification to be obtained within 1 year of hire.
• Must meet requirements for high-complexity testing under CLIA and accreditation bodies.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine histology procedures and prepares slides for microscopic review.
• Communicates with pathologists, residents, and supervisors regarding specimen problems.
• Operates automated staining instruments and manual methods; maintains quality controls.
• Maintains regulatory compliance and safety procedures; participates in quality system responsibilities.
