Job summary

Responsibilities

• Embed all types of tissue.
• Section all types of paraffin embedded tissue.
• Follow protocols for embedding and microtomy.
• Keep embedding area, microtome, and workstation clean and QC-focused.
• Maintain fresh solutions, stains and reagents.
• Perform special stains and/or IHC procedures as directed.
• Assist with case assembly and distribution as needed.
• File blocks and slides as required.
• Handle and dispose of hazardous waste properly.
• Follow lab safety procedures and protect data confidentiality.
