Unio Health Partners is seeking a Histotechnician II to prepare tissue specimens for pathology review at our on-site facility in Pasadena. The role involves tissue processing, embedding, sectioning, staining, and quality control under CAP/CLIA guidelines.

The ideal candidate has aBachelor or science degree (or AS/AA in science) and at least five years in an anatomic pathology lab, with HT/HTL ASCP certification preferred. On-site schedule with comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor or degree in a scientific/chemistry field, or AS/AA in science or chemistry preferred
• Five years of experience in an anatomic pathology laboratory with gross, embedding, cutting, staining
• ASCP Histotechnician HT/HTL certification, preferred
• Knowledge of CDPH, CLIA, CAP, and State and Federal laws that apply to histology duties
• Knowledge of histological techniques, staining methods, and laboratory equipment

Aufgaben

• Accessioning, grossing, processing, embedding, and cutting blocks of all pathology specimens
• Daily participation in routine histology laboratory operations
• Troubleshooting histology equipment and communicating problems to the supervisor
• Maintains daily records and equipment maintenance logs per CAP/CLIA regulations
• Checks all work for accuracy and quality
• Data entry for Vital Access Lab information system
