Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center in Seattle is seeking a Clinical Histotechnician I - Certified to produce high-quality histology work for patients and clients. The role involves close collaboration with Pathology Managers and Pathologists, with duties including immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization, reagent preparation, and equipment maintenance.

The lab operates Monday–Saturday, 4am–11pm. This is a per diem position with no pre-scheduled hours, and on-call work may be required depending

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution or equivalent education and training.
• HT (ASCP) certification.
• Strong attention to detail and color vision.

Aufgaben

• Receive, accession, and process specimens.
• Prepare specimens using paraffin, frozen sections, and cytocentrifugation; section with a microtome.
• Perform routine and special histochemical stains.
• Perform Immunohistochemistry and in situ hybridization.
• Maintain reagents and equipment; record data and file tissue blocks.
• Manage inventories and order supplies; complete maintenance tasks.
• Handle on-call duties as required.
