MUSC Health is seeking a histology technician to prepare tissue samples for routine histologic procedures, including fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy and staining. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, cleaning instruments, and adhering to universal precautions.
The role requires an associate's degree and HT(ASCP) certification (or eligibility) with certification expected within one year. Salary will be adjusted until certification is achieved.
Prepares and processes tissue samples for routine histologic procedures, including fixation, processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining, for examination under a microscope. Must maintain accurate records, clean instruments, and comply with laboratory safety and universal precautions.
