Histotechnologist – Charleston Campus. Full‑time, 40 hrs/week, Day Shift + rotating on‑call nights/weekends (8 AM–9 PM).

Responsibilities

• Process a wide range of histologic specimens: grossing, embedding, microtomy, staining (including special stains & immunohistochemistry), and frozen sections.
• Produce high‑quality slides and perform quality control to ensure accurate pathology reviews.
• Troubleshoot issues that could affect diagnostic outcomes.
• Maintain, clean, and perform routine checks on lab equipment.
• Adhere to universal safety procedures and lab protocols.
• Rotate on‑call nights and weekends (8 AM–9 PM) to support laboratory needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Histotechnology, Biology, or related scientific field.
• HTL(ASCP) certification (or equivalent) by the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification. If not certified, must have completed a NACCLS Accredited HT/HTL Program and be certification eligible; certification must be achieved within 1 year of hire, until certification is achieved salary will be 10% less.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication.
