Concordia University Texas invites applications for an adjunct history professor to teach a History of Mexico course in person in Austin for Spring 2027. The position is part-time and requires in-person instruction on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the main campus.

Responsibilities include timely feedback and grading via Blackboard Ultra, meeting trainings, and communicating professionally with students and administration.

Formación

• Master’s degree in History or closely related field required; PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 18 graduate hours in History, with Mexico/Latin America focus required.
• Professional or academic experience in teaching Mexican History preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to teach diverse undergraduate student populations.
• Ability to teach in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the main Austin campus.

Concordia University Texas is currently searching for an Adjunct (part-time) History professor to teach a T/Th 11:00-12:15 section of History of Mexico in person at our main Austin location for our Spring, 2027 term.

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS

• Teach assigned courses in person as scheduled and accepted.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback and accurate grading using Blackboard Ultra LMS.
• Complete required trainings and remain current with institutional expectations.
• Respond consistently and professionally to communication from administration and students.
• Other duties and functions as needed

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES & PRINCIPLES

• Master’s degree in History or a closely related field required, PhD preferred.
• Minimum of 18 graduate hours in History, with research or education background in Mexico or Latin America required.
• Professional or academic experience in teaching Mexican History preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and support diverse undergraduate student populations required.
• Ability to teach in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays at the main Austin campus required.
