Job summary

Fairfax County Government's Park Authority seeks a maintenance supervisor for Sully Historic Site in Chantilly, VA. You will supervise a park maintenance crew, inspect facilities, determine materials, and ensure safety and compliance. The role supports Sully Historic Site and Colvin Run Mill Historic Site, with responsibility for snow removal and emergency responses.

Regular hours are 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with possible weekends or overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and two years of maintenance, construction, or related experience.
• Ability to operate gas-powered equipment and maintain tools and vehicles.
• Experience leading a crew and ensuring safety procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a maintenance crew in park facilities and grounds.
• Inspect projects and ensure timely completion.
• Estimate materials and prepare work orders and reports.
• Ensure safety training and compliance with procedures.
• Respond to emergencies including snow removal and weather events.
