Job summary

Hotel Savoy (Savoy Kansas City) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to help preserve the historic character while ensuring safety and functionality across guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, and back‑of‑house spaces.

The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and ready to handle preventative maintenance and general repairs with urgency and professionalism for our guests and operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade license or certification is a plus but not required.
• Experience working in older or historic buildings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance and routine repairs throughout the hotel.
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, and mechanical issues.
• Perform guest room repairs including touch-up painting, caulking, tile repair, furniture repair, and hardware replacement.
• Maintain public areas, meeting spaces, offices, and associate areas to hotel standards.
• Inspect equipment and building systems and report larger repair needs or safety concerns to management.
• Assist with maintaining the historic appearance and condition of the property while completing repairs appropriately.
