Job summary

Ambassador Hotel Kansas City, Autograph Collection in Kansas City, MO seeks a Maintenance Worker to perform general maintenance of facilities, guest rooms, and public spaces. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires safety-consciousness and the ability to work without supervision in a dynamic hotel environment.

Responsibilities include basic repairs, machinery inspection, tool inventory, and coordination with hotel operations to minimize guest disruption.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of commercial building repair across electrical, plumbing, drywall, paint, carpentry and carpet work.
• Must be safety conscious and able to follow safety/health requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
• Ability to obtain and maintain government required licenses or permits.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic repair and maintenance of facilities, guest rooms and public spaces.
• Maintains building through carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting and other tasks as needed.
• Prioritizes work orders to minimize guest disruption and adheres to hotel schedules.
• Inspects machinery and equipment for safety and operation compliance.
• Moves furniture and luggage as required and manages inventory of tools and supplies.
• Provides backup support to the Hotel and maintains secure access to keys.
